ABOUT ME
I began my photography career shortly after receiving my MFA degree from USF in Tampa FL in 1984.  I was lucky enough to find an established photographer that was losing his staff photographer and he chose me to fill the position.  After about 2.5 years of learning the ropes, so to speak, the main department store account we worked on evaporated and the resulting staff reduction forced me to try my hand at freelancing.  By 1988, I was ready for a change to a bigger city with more opportunities, so I moved to Chicago with the hope of furthering my career as a professional photographer.

After 2 years of freelancing as an assistant at various studios around Chicago (and occasionally shooting for some of my own clients), I was offered a staff position at Silver Lining Graphics.  I worked there as a photographer for 4.5 years, but in 1995 another staff reduction left me to take up freelancing once again.  For the past thirteen years, I've persisted as a freelance artist at many local catalog photography studios and also shoot for clients at my studio.
